Winnipeg police are adding an artificial intelligence translation tool to the body-worn cameras officers are currently testing. The program has more than 50 languages in its database and will allow officers to interact with the public in the language of their choice. "If an officer should come across somebody and not even recognize the language that they're speaking, they simply have to push one small button, and the device will hear and recognize that language and then translate it to English," said George Labossière, deputy chief of operations with the Winnipeg Police Service. SYDNEY, Aug 26 (Reuters) - AI-generated music will be excluded from Australia's music charts starting this week, the country's peak music trade group said, ‌following controversy over an Australian DJ's cover of Madonna's "Like a Prayer" ‌topping local music charts. The Australian Recording Industry Association, or ARIA, said on Tuesday that wholly AI-generated tracks ​would no longer be eligible for its popular ARIA Charts, although recordings that use generative AI in a supporting role would remain eligible. U.S. cybersecurity agency CISA said it has observed cyberattacks targeting over 100 internet-exposed systems across the U.S. water and wastewater sector, amid a wave of hacks targeting American critical infrastructure. The number of affected systems provides new context to the scale of the ongoing cyberattacks targeting water providers in Michigan, Minnesota, and at least five other states. Amazon and Nvidia just got a lot closer. The two companies announced Wednesday an expanded partnership that includes a deal to add another 2 million Nvidia GPU chips to Amazon’s data centers. These GPUs, which are designed to handle the heavy compute demands of training and running AI models, include Nvidia Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra GPUs. The chips will head to Amazon Web Services’ data centers in 2027 and 2028. OSLO, Norway (AP) — A pro-Russian hacker group on Wednesday claimed responsibility for a cyberattack that has affected multiple Norwegian government digital services over the past three days.
